What can be better than one pregnancy.. resulting in both a boy and a girl baby. Anyone with multiples is probably laughing right now. It is truly a blessing but it is certainly a lot of work when they are little.

Like many babies, at six-months these guys were still taking it easy and not sitting on their own. However, baby Gavin was pretty convinced he could at least give it a try. So, every time we would put him down, he would start to move. Finally, we just let “it” (whatever that is…) happen and here is what we got…

You just gotta laugh….

Thanks so much Nichols family. I really do not think I have laughed so hard in a while. Y’all are a fun family with adorable babies!

This is quite the “baby” time around these parts. I always adore my itty bitty clients and newborn sessions are such a great time for me to really get to know my clients well. We have more quiet time at a newborn session then we will ever have at any other session.
Usually (and hopefully), the baby just sleeps and sleeps and the adults just talk play!

Big sister Katie was just a wee little newborn the last time I saw her little face. She sure has grown into a very helpful, beautiful toddler!

The little stroller you see above was picked up on a recent vacation down to 30A. My husband is very patient as I scour each place we go for the “perfect” little additions for the studio!

Eventually little William began to stir and we knew the session was winding down. However, I wanted at least one photograph of the new family of four before I was on my way. I sure think this is just about the best looking family…

Meet Trey….

He is more than just good-looking… he is smart, athletic and a really nice guy!

Two years ago, mom invited me to photograph Trey’s big sister (who was a senior at the time). This year it was Trey’s turn…
I worried he might be a bit grumpy since I know how boys (and men) can be about “picture time”.

However, he never complained once and he did everything I asked with a “joyful heart”.

Now, mom swears I will be doing their weddings sometime in the future. I am hoping I have at least ten or so years to get used to the idea.

I think, in about ten years, I might be up for it!

It has been such an honor to photograph this family for the past few years… You might ask, “Why July?”… Well, because that is mom and dad’s anniversary. Now isn’t that so precious! Doing a session every year to celebrate your wedding anniversary. I love it!

It always makes my heart happy to see a couple still so in love after many years of marriage. This is one very special family!

Thanks Chipman family for the morning full of outdoor play! I had a great time!!!

I just love and adore this sweet family! It has been such a delight over the past years to watch these kids grow.

Can you imagine the challenge of being a big sister to three little brothers? Anna handles it with such grace, maturity and, most of all, patience!

Here are the three little monkeys… trying to look settled for a moment. You know boys have a million better things to do then pose for a picture.

We left their house and headed for a field where we were able to run a bit and do some berry picking. I think, if you asked them, this was a huge improvement over sitting still for pictures.

Thank you so much for a wonderful morning full of hugs, smiles, bugs, heat, laughs, berries and fun!

Ahh- my very favorite age to photograph! Big smiles….not mobile…

This little one was a joy from the minute she arrived. Happy, laughing, and so very cute in all her little outfits!

The last time I saw her she was just four-days-old. Adeline is much bigger now but she has the same sweet disposition she had as a newborn!

Look at these precious little hands… grabbing for every last piece of dirt.

I brought this tutu and head “thing” with me for Adeline to wear. The minute we put the headband on… I looked and said, “that is over the top, let’s take it off.” However, I had taken these two images before we pulled it. I was sure I would not choose them as final images to show the parents. However, when they came up on my screen… I fell in love with them. Maybe it is the “over the top” that makes them just so adorable.

Such a fun morning. Thanks so much for inviting me to play.

Want to know something amazing? Baby Alex was born on the same day as baby Ava and their Mommies are best of friends. What an amazing story these moms will one day share with their little ones. It was lots of fun to meet baby Alex and to see his big brother Anthony again!

I know first hand how wonderful it is to have two boys close in age. My boys constantly love on me and are so precious. Last night we, as a family, watched our wedding video from nine years ago. My boys kept saying, “mom, you look so beautiful.” My boys are just tender and sweet like that. I know this mommy will forever be so adored by her boys!

Such a beautiful family and so wonderful to see everyone again. Anthony is now a big two-year-old and ready to be the BEST big brother.

welcome sweet little ava

Two years ago I had the pleasure of welcoming big sister Olivia and being her first photographer. What a blessing it was to now be a part of Ava’s beginnings.

Clearly Olivia is all excited about welcoming baby Ava. Olivia was one of the most well behaved older siblings I have photographed! It is hard to have your world rocked by a new little one but Olivia is taking it all in stride.

When Olivia was born, we used this same blanket for some of her portraits. It is fun to create a similar looking portrait to hang next to her big sister’s portrait.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and stays cool! My family and I are off to welcome a very special baby. Our niece, Stephanie, has given birth to sweet little Emily. Jeff and I are now a GREAT Aunt and Uncle. How much fun!!!!

three-months-old

Three-months-old is such a sweet age. Finally the baby is becoming aware of the world, he can smile and respond when interacted with and he begins to clearly let you know what he likes (and does not like).

At one point Marshall became very fussy and unhappy. Mom and I were grateful when Marshall finally fell into a deep sleep and we could leave him alone for a bit. When he awoke… we had this….

I think the nap did him a world of good! Even big brother was in a better mood after Marshall’s nap. Luckily, little Marshall is such a precious babe that even when he is not happy… he is still irresistible!

Hailey is six months!

Sweet, precious little Hailey girl is getting so big. Hailey was a Christmas time baby and she has now reached the six-month-mark. She is sitting (well, for a second or two) and full of smiles (well, usually but not so much on camera day!). However, she is always beautiful and such a pleasure to photograph.

Hailey is adored by her mom and dad… but her big brother is especially fond of her!

I forgot to mention this little trick Hailey has…

It is always a pleasure hanging out with this very favorite family!! Over the years, it has been so much fun watching their family grow!
