If you’ve ever had a newborn session with us then you already know all of our special little tricks for getting those sweet babies to be happy, sleepy, wonderful, snuggly little models for us. If you haven’t, you may wonder- how do they do it? Well, for one, years of experience will teach you a lot. But, there are some tricks of the trade that certainly help out a TON when it comes to newborn sessions. We will let you in on a few of these…

A sleepy/happy baby is a warm, full, snuggly baby. We use a heater (shown above) to keep those little bodies nice and toasty warm while they are undressed (or naked). This is essential in these chilly winter months. We also have Mommy feed baby right before we arrive- to ensure a full belly. Lastly, we use a white noise app to lull baby into a nice sleep so we can get to work. Soft blankets, warm hands and swaddles are a few other elements that aid in our “baby whispering”. These are just some tricks that we have picked up over the years that really help out a lot.
