These past couple of months, my books have been filled with maternity and newborn clients. It is an honor to be a part of a families story by documenting this exciting time!

My husband met this family five years ago when he bought a car that they were selling. My husband gave them a business card of mine and nine months later they called me to set up a one year session. It was as delightful to photograph little Ella then as it was this time!

As life would have it, our paths have crossed many times over these past five years. At one point we even had our children attending the same school.

This session was more than just a maternity session. We were also documenting Ella’s fifth birthday! Even the sun came out to play!

Unlike today, the weather was just perfect to end the session outside! So, out we went to bask in the sun as it was getting low in the sky. I love the lighting on this final image of Ella walking away, holding her balloons.

I can’t wait to meet the little fella on the way! I know Ella is going to be a fabulous sister!

This couple is so wonderfully cute. They remind me of Jeff and me when we were expecting our first child, Slaton. The excitement and wonder at each and every baby related thing. Just a perk of my job that I get to work with fabulous people such as this.

Any guesses on what team this couple loves? They travel to Miami lots during football season… Hmmm, wonder if we should tell them that this Fall’s travel might be a little more complicated.

I am looking forward to meeting little Andre in the next couple of weeks. I have asked Dad to give me an up-close tour of all the new, cool baby products that exist now-a-day. Funny how outdated my product knowledge is since I have not had a little baby in the house in several years. It is time for me to get schooled on “hip baby products”.

Introducing one unforgettable little boy. Collin is a joy to be around any day of the week. His manners are impeccable; his smile uplifting; and he always greets me with the world’s best bear hug! I love every chance I get to see this little guy. Fortunately, I’m in luck since Mom is getting close to delivering a sweet baby sister for Collin to adore. I am honored for the chance to photograph her when she arrives into our world.

I love the closeness I have with my two boys. My husband shares a similar bond with our daughter. It is a very special bond for each of us, one we both cherish very deeply. Collin and his Mommy share the same sweet bond, and it soon will be Daddy’s turn to have his adoring baby girl to share a very special relationship with.

Plum is hot this season! I’ve seen a lot of plum pieces come through the studio this season. I loved it so much; my family photographs are riddled with plum hues as well!

I love this smile! I can’t wait to see you again very soon, Collin! Have a very Happy Thanksgiving…

I am delighted to announce our Spring mini-sessions at Due. These are always hot, hot, hot so if you are interested then call them (770-384-0009)  and book your time quick, quick, quick. ;)  Due will put the announcement out in the next few days but I wanted all of you to know first!

Have a happy Wednesday!

This beautiful mommy-to-be has been a client since her first little one was born. Both she and her sister are so beautiful and I always enjoy the chance to photograph them! I know there are a lot of image here to share but I want to end the year with a bang. :)

Beautiful little A. who is so sweet and loving!

I am looking forward to meeting the newest addition to this family very soon!

a great way to end the year

I am always flattered when another photographer invites me to photograph her family. It is so lovely to meet others in the same profession and talk about the highs and lows of owning your own business. Right now I am averaging about 80 work hour per week. This is the peek of my busiest time of the year. It is refreshing to work with a client who truly can appreciate the chaos of this time of year for portrait photographers.

We met on the loveliest of afternoons for our session. The sun was warm and beautiful and it was just a little overcast. It was really the perfect photography day! I was excited to meet little K. since I had read lots about her on her mom’s blog! She is full of spunk and laughter and she has a twinkle in her eye!

When I look at her images- I just have to smile!

Her family does a “laying down” photograph each session that they have. I think it is a fun idea to have your family posed similarly again and again so you see the growth of the family and of the children.

Before long, that “laying down” image will look a whole lot different. Little newborn brother is due to arrive in not too long!

I know this is a long sneak peek but just two more to make you smile before you leave. :)

This last one is CRACKING ME UP! Look at the expression on K.’s face!
