six months is a favorite age
Today I took some time to fiddle around on the computer a little. I have so many family images that I have taken and never really had time to look at. I try to stay very organized when it comes to my personal images but often I just put them in a titled folder and do not really take the time to look through them. So, today I decided that I needed to clean up my desktop and organize my images a little. While doing this, I came across these three images which truly made me laugh out loud! Shipley and Eliza, my two youngest children, are two and a half months apart in age. They are very close and they play really well together. These pictures were taken back in October as I was leaving to take the two of them to pre-school. They were invited to dress up in costume for this day and I let them choose what they wanted to wear. Shipley choose his Spiderman costume from last year (I had a scarecrow costume for him to coordinate with Eliza) and Eliza choose her Dorothy costume. As you can tell, Shipley was none-to-happy to take time out of his morning to have his picture taken. Enjoy and I hope all of you are staying warm and cozy!

Let’s hear it for the birthday boy!

Last year, for Taylor’s birthday, we photographed him at the baseball fields. Taylor is athletic and very into all “boy things”! So, the baseball fields were the perfect fit for him.
This year, mom and I decided to go down to the river for Taylor’s session. Do you know any four-year-old boys who don’t love water, rocks, mud and sticks?

Taylor was willing to work a little for the fun! I asked Taylor if he would lie down on the ground like I was doing. He looked at me and said, “the ground is cold”. Yeah- he was right.. it was cold…

These last few days in Atlanta have been heavenly with such great weather. Our au pair, who is from Thailand, asked if we were now entering Spring. I had to give her the bad news that this warmth and sun would not be here to stay. Luckily, during this session the sun shone brightly!

The sweetest part of this session… how Taylor adores his mom. His mom said she was worried this might be the last year he adores her this much and she wanted to capture that. As a mom of two boys, aged 3 and 6, I know boys are just wonderful with their moms for quite a while. I can’t vouch for past age 6 but i know my 6-year-old is just the most precious, affectionate kid ever!

Happy birthday Taylor and I can’t wait to hear all about that Batman party you told me about.
