two children walking in the field away from parents
Not only do I look at my own children and realize time is zooming by, but I also look at my clients children and realize life is going quick. I feel like it was only yesterday we were welcoming Ryan into the world. Now Ryan is three and he and his sister are showing the beginnings of such a sweet relationship.

Katelyn is a really patient, sweet big sister to Ryan. She continues to love on him even when he is trying his best to push her away. She can easily  make him laugh and she was even willing to try several numerous times to hold his hand.

SILENCE
Do you need me to tell you more? Have any of you ever had a three-year-old?
He is precious, mischievous, busy, loving and busy (did I say that?)…. he is truly a three-year-old little boy…

However, even at three, it is obvious he loves and respects his family. He might be busy but he is willing to slow down for some love from them!

Such a precious family and just one of the families who make me adore the career I choose!

family of four hanging out in the park
One thing I really love about Atlanta is some of the parks we have. Now (as a small aside), I have been to Chicago, Nashville, Denver and Seattle and I realize many cities are laid out with parks being more of a focal part of the city. Atlanta has beautiful parks but most of them are NOT obvious.. they are all an “Easter egg hunt”. “I know that park is here somewhere. Oh, there it is around three turns and up on the hill.” It really is an odd thing but once you find them… they are really lovely. This is certainly one of those lovely parks that is just hidden from most of the world!

It was great to see this family again. It had been a year and both of the boys grew so much from last year.

Colin, the older child, was just about the same age as Hayden when I first photographed him. Now Colin is helping (a LITTLE) with his younger brother and trying to do most everything “on his own”. How well I remember that stage in my home with my kids. Shwew- it takes a lot of patience to parent that age child.

Hayden has his own agenda and he is none to worried about what anyone else is up to. He is walking now and he needs to get from one place to another in a timely manner. So, if you see Hayden coming, you best get out of his way.

Most of all, these boys love one another and they are learning how to take on the world, together.

a morning in the park

This was a beautiful afternoon for me to spend with another fun crowd- Mom, Dad, little Nicholas, big sis Catherine and of course their other “child” Maggie. Maggie was easy since she, too, can strike a pose.2 kids and a dog outside fall

Nicholas is his Daddy’s mini me. Here he hams it up for the camera:

Catherine was so sweet and patient with Nicholas as well as Maggie. She was my, very stylish, little helper.

Plenty of love to go around in this family.

Nothing like a little toss into the air to keep the laughs going!

Goodbye, family of 5! Thanks for a wonderful afternoon and we look forward to seeing you again next time.
