I know, as a photographer, the greater the number of children and the younger their ages, the crazier the session will be. Everyone in this family had such fun personalities and there was no lack of excitement! Imagine what life must be like being the only girl in a home filled with three brothers. Grace is a girly girl- with and edge. It is clear that she has to stay “on her game” all the time with so many boys around.

I was excited to open up my files and see this image. Could it be that everyone is looking and there are no funny faces? I adore this family portrait!

In another miraculous moment… I caught all children looking my way. Whew… Bring on the challenges…

What child doesn’t love dandelions? Here’s a sweet moment with the oldest child, Richard.

Twins George and Henry may not be identical, but they are equally as sweet. Here they are both showing me their muscles.

This was such a fun family and I loved our time spent together. Hope you all enjoy this rainy day today and that the pollen will begin to subside. Happy Tuesday!

one-year-old looking out
It is always such a treat for me to photograph a baby as a newborn and then again as a one-year-old. Having not seen little Emma over the past year, it was a treat to see her again for this session. She is a beautiful child and I am very fond of her sweet momma.

This morning was a little chilly but the day was set to warm up to the 80′s. I find that it is hard to plan clothing for those days because if you dress for the morning then you are way to hot by the afternoon. Luckily this mom had thought about that and had a sweater ready to go so her little one would not be cold during the session.

So, while we were waiting for little Miss Emma to catch a second wind, her big brother snuggled up on the sofa with his Star Wars blanket. When Dad went over to join him, I thought it was too sweet watching them interact.

We had a fun morning together. Sweet Emma had some highs and lows but all in all… we worked it out…
I can’t wait to see her again next year to see how much more she grows.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

little boy waiting for the train to come
Any of you remember little Collin from his two-year-old or his three-year-old sessions? He is just about the sweetest little guy ever. He captures my heart more and more with each time we are together. On this day we were celebrating Collin’s four-year-old birthday.

Collin brought his mommy and his sister along for the fun day!

While spending the afternoon together, we were able to play several games of peek-a-boo and hide-and-seek.

Thanks Collin for hanging out with an old lady like me and letting me spend my afternoon being young again. You are a very special little boy and I see great things coming in your future!

It is with great excitement I introduce baby Campbell. She is so blessed to be born into a family that is filled with love and happiness.

family welcoming home their new baby girl
I met this family two years ago when they brought home sweet Max. Max is presently busy sorting out his feelings about having baby Campbell in his world. We all know Max will be a wonderful brother but, like a typical two-year-old, he is still figuring it all out. I think by the Fall Max will be happy to show a little affection to his baby sister.

Meanwhile, little Campbell is enjoying life with all the attention she is getting from Mommy, Daddy and Honey (this is the sweetest name for a grand mom!). Campbell is totally unaware that her big brother finds playing outdoors far more interesting than interacting with her.

Luckily, life always sorts itself out. With these terrific parents in charge, there is plenty of love and hugs to go around.
Congratulations and I am so excited “it” is a baby GIRL!

welcome sweet newborn campbell

This weeks weather is so glorious! What a gift from God that we are able to finally pull out our flip flops and enjoy the park. I am so thrilled this session happened to be this week. We were going to shoot in the studio but we just couldn’t…. not with the amazing weather.

I adored ALL the personality these children have!!!!! Each one of them is very unique but together they are a crazy, wonderful bunch.

I know these two little ones because they have been clients for years. Their mom, Brandi, owns Wisdom Education Ministries. Her ministry is close to my heart and I adore taking some of the classes she offers. If you are looking for a Bible Study then you should really check out her offerings.
