Elizabeth Constance Wicket lives in a place not unlike where most people live and at a time quite remarkably similar to the present day. She is not a character from one of those “once upon a time” kind of tales, but is, in fact, a very real little girl who lives and breathes – this is her story …

So begins the story of Libbie Wicket and closes the chapter of my life known as ebs Photography.

Yes, as some of you have guessed from the blog sneak peeks, we DO have a new studio and along with the new home for my business, I wanted a brand that matched the business better. Something that reflected the quality clients always receive, the superior customer service they’ve come to expect, where the focus is on the children and their families – pure whimsy. From this desire, Libbie Wicket was born.

lw-post

In many ways, Libbie Wicket is YOUR story. She, like our studio, is child-led. This is no fairytale princess but a true-to-life little girl with spunk and character, dreams and hopes, giggles and frowns, secrets to whisper and plots to hatch. Scabs on her knees and and hanging from trees. She is childhood personified. Libbie Wicket is what I want to capture about your child… their reality, their whimsical nature that makes them the special beings they truly are.

In the coming weeks I’ll be sharing some of the people who helped me bring Libbie Wicket to life. I hope you enjoy their part in my journey as much I enjoyed them!

We are still working on our new blog/site, but in the meantime… take a look at a sneak peek from our BEAUTIFUL new studio!!!

Introducing Libbie Wicket

r12 days! Just so precious and tiny! I am at the point in my life now that I can hardly remember when any of mine were that tiny. It makes me so sad because I really want to remember each detail but i just can’t! For example… these little wrinkles that only a newborn baby has… my boys had these wrinkles, I know they did!

j
I look at their little boy (and girl- although Eliza was 10 months when we adopted her) bodies now and I realize those moments were brief and we are already on to big kid things.
I can tell that this sweet mom and dad also realize how precious these moments are and what a brief time you have to capture them. They already are way, way, way in love with little E.R.
k
I am grateful for every single picture I have of my children. Each day in my home, I walk by images that are 2, 3, 4, and 5 years old and I treasure them more today then I did when they were taken. I realize it is my biggest link to those moments. The images are reminders of wonderful memories of my children.
My goal as your photographer is to provide each of you with images that help you remember the moments. I know that E.R.’s parents will look back at these images one day and remember her smell, her little sighs, her tiny toes, and her little wisp of hair and they will, for just a second, be back in that moment.

12 days little {brookhaven newborn photographer}

We interrupt the sneaky sneak peeks to catch you up on a few sessions. Good grief things here have been so busy lately. I, as most of you know, thrive on busy. However, these past two weeks are little overkill on the crazy busy side. I am  looking forward to telling you all my secrets and getting my groove on working with clients, new and old, in the upcoming weeks!

Any long time readers will know this family right away! Big brother C. was a newborn client of mine a few years ago. Just as we were finishing his “babies first year” plan- his mommy found out that C. would soon be a big brother (enter little V.) Photographing V.’s first year was awesome and now it is fun to see the family as a whole for sessions!

g
Meet V. who cried through a session or two in his younger years. He was happy and lovely and so much fun on this day. Good thing as I was beginning to take it a little personally… :)
f
Meet C. who is always so wide eyed as if he is really taking it all in. On this day I think he said “no” (as in NO!!!!) about 30 times or so. Seems that, according to mom, he has fallen victim to the terrible three’s. Both my boys had them to. Such a shame for a cute kid! LOL!
h
When photographing two little boys at the same time.. you better have them actively doing something or else they easily bore with you!
g
Good thing we found this water for them to play in! However, as I began to pick C. up and put him in the water, mom gasped. Seems that I was heading right towards the big snake whose water we were in! From that moment forward, we all had one eye on the snake (who at times was swimming in the water) and one eye on the boys. I think all the rock “skipping” scared the snake to stay on his end of the stream until we left.
