The R. twins are getting so big! Who remembers when they arrived? They were these itty bitty little gals and now they are a little bit over a year! What a year it has been for this family. A few days after our six month session, mom found out she had cancer. Since that day, her life and her families life has been a roller coaster. Anyone who has ever had a loved one fighting this disease knows the disruption and scariness it causes in a family. For this family of six, it seems to have pulled them closer and made them appreciate even more what each day means! They are passionate about one another and their love of life.

Mom and I spent a good amount of time talking about the importance of all of us going to the doctor and getting our yearly checkups. I know that I am so guilty of not doing this. I cringe to tell you that it has been over three years since I have seen an OBGYN and even longer since I have seen a dermatologist! I plan to schedule both of those visits immediately! It is unfair for my family for me not to take the best care of me that I possibly can. Any of you need to schedule some visits too?

I adore these two images below. Mom and I did nothing to create this- the girls just leaned into one another and this was the result!

One of the girls is walking and the other is not (but she LOVES to push and walk!!!) yet. So, they were so excited about playing with the wagon!

I know it is an overload of images but there were so many I loved and wanted to share. I am just having a hard time today narrowing down. :)

Thought some of you might recognize a child in my yearbook ad I am doing for a local school. :) It will be published in their 200-2009 yearbook when it comes out in April. :)

Remember this mama…..

Well, here is the final result….

Little Miss. J. is an absolute beauty. She had that very flaky, totally new, newborn skin! In trying to show us that she is growing fast… she lost her little belly button while we were photographing her. Her mom and I looked at each other, giggled, and kept right on going.

Big sister A. is really not sure at all about this baby who has invaded her home. She, like almost all one-year-old’s, wanted nothing to do with the baby. Mom and I tried to convince her how lovely it would be for her to hold, hug, or kiss the baby but it was all in vain. A. already had in her mind that she was not interested in this baby who is already stealing attention from her.

This is one of my very favorite images from the session!

I leave you with a snuggle image… I love when I can get the baby to peer out over their hands. It is not easily done, especially when I have a non-sleeper newborn, but it is so worth it when all the stars align and it happens!

Cristina and I have had such fun plying with little Finn. She came over to the studio last week and we took a few more of Finn. No longer a two-day-old but now an actual two-week-old. He was already so much harder to get to sleep!

Is this hat the funniest thing ever?
