I have anticipated this session with much excitement, and apparently my next client’s 5-year-old daughter has too. When I approached her home, I found Julia and her Grand-mom waiting for me. Her greeting was so sweet. She said it had been a long time since she’s seen me and asked where had I been. I have photographed she and her brother since they were little babes. And now, this beautiful family is welcoming a third wee little one…a precious baby girl.
Mommy’s heartiness and resolve to have her babies born when God wants them to be is a strength I admire. Little Iris was 9 lbs 13 oz and born 10 days late! Congratulations Mommy on a job very well done!

One of the things I love most about my sessions with this family is Mom’s sentimental items that are included in our sessions. This session, Baby Iris wore a dress her Mommy wore when she was a newborn: a gorgeous, ornate dress that photographed beautifully and will have an honorary meaning for the next generation of babies to be photographed in it.

This crib belonged to Mommy’s grandparents, and is another sentimental item we included in our session. Image all of the cradling done and sweet little dreams dreamt in this crib over the years. It is so sweet to know this child has a history to embrace from the very beginning.

Julia is smart, engaging, and has an old soul. She is a fabulous girl to have in your presence. Take a look at her adorable laugh!

Brother is sweet, adoring of his two sisters, and full of zest for life! I played peek-a-boo with he and Julia and loved every laughable second of it!
