I rarely start a blog post off with an image. However, a brand new baby, all snuggled up, sweetly sleeping… I could not resist. It seems like forever ago since my children were that itty bitty that I could hold them in one hand. The smell of that new baby and the softness of their little skin is such a fond memory.

This little fella was welcomed home by a big sister. Big sister C. is still adjusting a little to having another baby in the house but the idea is growing on her. We tried really hard to get the two of them together but there was no slowing Miss C. down. She had a goal to stay on the go most of the time we were together. She is two and truly… that is what two-year-old’s do. Can I get an Amen?
So, we went with the family picture instead. It took some convincing but she would stay with mom and dad for thirty seconds and then off she would go. We would get her back and then try again. Thank goodness two-year-old’s are still little enough to be tricked into momentarily doing the right thing.

These might be two of my most favorite mom and baby images of late. Aren’t this mom and child just breathtaking together?
