Lucky for me, I first met this family when big sister A. was a week old. I have watched her go from being a newborn, then blossom into a baby, grow into a toddler, and now she is a wonderful big sister.
It is so amazing to me how girls truly are more nurturing naturally. Her smart Mommy and Daddy got her a baby to hold and love to help her grasp her new baby sister’s arrival, and what a success. Big Sis A. is a pro! She is patient and sweet and an excellent big sister.

Hello Baby K.—an amazing and beautiful baby girl who wins the heart of anybody in her presence.

I don’t often meet a newborn with hair ready to rival Billy Idol, but he has met his match. (I realize I am dating myself!) I could not get enough of it!
This sweet baby girl spent some time in the care of Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. The outstanding care and support by the Children’s staff ensured her safe return home to Mommy, Daddy & Big Sis. I remember a scare I had with my oldest child and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta also provided us with premier care for our baby boy. This organization is very dear to me! It is a special place for so many families with sick children. If you have the means to donate, please visit this link to make a donation. You will most definitely touch the lives of so many families and maybe even a child you know.

Can you imagine all of the secrets, princess dresses, and cupcakes these girls will go through together? Having a sister is a special gift, and I am lucky to have the opportunity of witnessing the beginnings of this special bond.

I captured this image of her just as she was nodding off. Little baby bodies change so quickly and are nearly unrecognizable compared to their newborn phase just two short months after birth. Her little creases and rolls will only multiply, as will her giggles and smiles. It is a lovely way to spend time—watching your little babies grow up!
