I first met this family when big brother C. was six months. This sweet boy has grown into a big 2 year old, and also a big brother to a beautiful baby sister. It was such an honor and a pleasure to work with this growing family again.
This mom coordinated her family’s clothing really well….awesome job of bringing it all together!

I love photographing six-month-olds. They are (usually) still non-mobile and full of giggles and smiles. Capturing their developing personalities reminds me of how much I adore my job! This little girl is no exception…her personality comes shining through with glowing vibrance!

This little guy is full of boy wonder. No rock went unturned or mud puddle unnoticed. This is childhood spirit in full color!

Daddy adores his little girl. Snuggling came easy for them!

Mom and her creative-ness brought this adorable tutu for little M. to wear. It brought the magic this little babe encompasses all together perfectly.
Remember, if you see something you like and would like to use as a prop for your session, please ask me to bring it along with me for your session.

six cute little months!
Good morning sunshine! Look how eager this little fella was to meet me. He was bright eyed and ready for the fun morning we were to spend together.

Big brother was also ready to go! I grabbed him first and ran outside for a few portraits of him alone. I knew his two-year-birthday was coming up really soon and I wanted to be sure, with the chaos of a new baby, mom had a couple of images to capture big brother at this important stage.

I was a little gun shy to try sibling images again after the tough time I have had lately. I prayed that C. might give me a break and want to snuggle up to his new brother. Well, not so much. It was clear early on that this would be a challenge. So, we talked, bribed, and tricked and nothing worked. Finally, by some miracle, C. agreed to lay next to baby on the ground. It was not the ideal floor covering or light but it was the ideal moment. Don’t you think?

After the sibling images, C. had had enough and he headed off to the library for some quiet reading time while mom, dad, and I played with sweet little brother.

Daddy was fielding off lots of requests from his office so we started with him and then let him scoot into work. It is hard to shuffle baby, family, and work. However, this sweet Daddy knows that this moment only presents itself once and you want to be an active part of it.

I leave you with one of my favorite mom and baby images of all time. I love so many things about it. The beautiful colors, the gorgeous mother, the emotion between the baby and mom, and the crazy, funny, sweet newborn hand. It is a FAV for sure!

There is a little bread shop just up the street from the studio. The bread they make there is mouth watering. I honestly think there is nothing better then freshly made bread with real butter.
This little shop is one of Libbie’s favorite lunch spots in Smyrna. She likes it because sometimes she runs into friends who want to play.

Other times she just goes in for the yummy free samples which help her figure out which bread she likes best. Libbie’s mom likes for Libbie to have the High 5 Fiber bread. She knows that Libbie loves it because it is yummy and the fiber is just plain good for little Miss Libbie!

The sweet store owner, Lorrie, shares a little more about the shop:

1. What drove you to start your business? My husband and I grew up in
Minnesota where the Great Harvest is very popular. For a LONG time, we have
loved the whole concept, the products and the atmosphere that GH Bakeries
provide. When Lorrie decided to exit the medical field, we were drawn
quickly to the idea of owning our own bakery.

2. Tell us a little about your business: At the Great Harvest we mill our
wheat berries everyday into flour to make the most healthy and nutritious
breads and sweets. We bake our breads and sweets fresh every day (that we
are open). Our fresh and spectacular bread is what makes our phenomenal
sandwiches so different from others. We love being part of the community
and helping the local schools, neighborhood associations and fund raisers.
3. What is your favorite bread you make and why? I love High 5 Fiber. It
tastes great by itself, as a sandwich or toasted. Not only does it taste
great it is good for you with 5g of fiber per slice.

4. What’s on your nightstand? The bible, picture of my kids and various
books that I try to get to. However working in the bakery, I am usually too
tired to do much reading!
5. What is your favorite family must-do in the Atlanta area? We love biking
on the Silver Comet Trail as a family. Kids sports take up a lot of our
free time as Chris coaches a lot and Lorrie hates to miss the boys’ games!
