Photographing newborns is like therapy for me. The sessions are usually long and physically exhausting but I always leave feeling energized and peaceful. I love the down time during the newborn sessions since it gives me a chance to catch up with mom and have some much needed “adult conversation.” Don’t we all, as moms, long for a little more of that?
This sweet family lives right around the corner from me. I was so happy to capture big sister H. when she was only a few months old. Now, two years later, I am so thrilled to be able to help welcome sweet little G. home.

Big sister H., in a very typical fashion, wanted nothing to do with her new little brother. In fact, when we placed him in her arms she cried. Plan two was to place him beside her so that hopefully without him touching her… she would be calm and happy. It worked… she was serious and sweet but not crying! I actually really love the result!

This is one of my favorites from the session of little G. alone. I love how little his head is in relation to his Daddy’s hand.
