I am so behind…. Cristina’s baby boy, Finn, was born a week ago! I was so lucky to be able to photograph him on day two of his life.

He was about 5 weeks early so he was so very sleepy and newborn like for us!

We even left his little arm band on for the first few images!

This was a brief moment that he opened his eyes. I was ready for him!

Below is one of mom’s favorites from the session….

We all love this one with Cristina and her “new” brood… The two-year-old was having nothing to do with little Finn so this was our way of getting all the children together in one place.

I love this last image! No matter how many children you have, I believe it is always important to photograph the baby alone with both parents. Happy that Cristina agrees….

Three is such a fun age! Children are beginning to figure out their likes and dislikes and they are able to more fully express themselves. This is the reason I never know what kind of child I might be photographing when I have a three-year-old subject.

On this day I got very lucky. T. was such a charming three-year-old. He was a very cooperative, good listener!

His *PASSION* is baseball and he loves playing with his Daddy. So, it made perfect sense for us to photograph T. at the baseball field!

It was so nice to meet you little T. Thanks for being such a great kid to hang out with!

I loved her the first time I met her when she was three months….

We had other sessions in between but here she is at 18 months (she was going through a very serious phase at the time)….

Now, at two, she is she is a force.. the cutest kind of force…

No longer that serious, shy child from the previous session!

I feel blessed to have a great relationship with mom and dad whom I adore! They are wonderful parents to little E. and each time we are together I grow more and more fond of them.

Last week was a stellar week for me!!! I was able to photograph not just one two-day-old but TWO two-day-olds! I adore photographing newborns and the “newer” they are… the more exciting it is. The point of a newborn session is to capture the baby in those very first days when they are still so new and fresh. They still curl up so easily and they sleep like they are still safe and sound in the womb. Ahhh- new babies are so miraculous!

Baby Gaines is a first born for this new family of three! He is already so adored by all!!!

Would you please look at this dimple? I love it and the one he has on the other side of his face that matches. Who does not love a little boy with dimples?

Finally, a brand new, wrinkled little hand….

welcome baby gaines!!!!

I love when mom’s ask me to photograph their children “as they are”. This little girl loves to dress up and she was ready for me when I arrived- all decked out in her jewelry and princess dress up!

When we went outside and began to photograph her little brother… this is what she did…

What can I say? She adores him and is a really great big sister!

Then we got down to business… the main reason for the session… N. has just hit the big ONE!

I always like the way denim photographs. It is rich in color in color images and it is deep in texture when it is in black and white.

N. is not walking yet but I am guessing he will be within the next two weeks. I love this stage where they can pull up, stand alone, but they can’t quite take of on you yet!

a little dress up… darling

I have something wonderful to share with all of you, my clients. Over the years many of you have purchased canvas’ to adorn your walls. These pieces of art are beautiful and it is hard to imagine that they can get any better. However, I am thrilled to introduce something that even exceeds my expectations….

Most of you will recognize this darling image of my kids that was taken in December in Orlando, Florida.

I am so excited to show you what a commissioned artist did with that image…

I loved it so much that I knew I had to have the painted art as a very large canvas. So, today I was literally in tears when this arrived at my studio….

in a 30×40 canvas wrap…

I love every single detail of it. The artist did a glorious job. If you would like a piece of art like this in your home, please mention it when you book your session so that we can be sure to plan for it. I am a casual gal so this image suits me well. However, something more formal would look stunning as well!
