Most of my clients reading this will recognize the girl in this post! For those of you who do not know her… meet Andrea… my right-hand woman!!!! Andrea is an integral part of ebs photography. Andrea has lots of responsibilities at the studio but her number one responsibility is helping me stay constantly on top of my game. I know all of you love and expect the great customer service you get from me. Well, Andrea is often the one helping me be able to deliver. As a thank you for her, I offered to photograph her family. I wanted her to have some updated portraits for her home! Here are jsut a few from our session earlier this week.

Meet her little fella who, I assure you, is ALL BOY!!!

Here is her beautiful daughter who you can’t really see that well. LOL!!!

Here is the couple themselves- I really think they are one of the best looking couples!

These are my two most favorite images from their session!

Finally, the kiddos running. This session was at 5:00 in the afternoon and when I got back in my car- the temperature said 100 degrees. It felt more like 110 degrees.. it was so hot. Even the kiddos were dripping by the time we were done!

It is so hard to believe that it is already time to begin thinking about Christmas cards! I have had lots of you ask to order cards from sessions you have had this year and I am happy to say that I now have all the cards ready to choose from. All cards are 5×7 and 5×5 in size, mostly two-sided (we also have four sided and tri-fold options), and on your choice of paper (linen, semi-gloss, watercolor, and pearl). E-mail Andrea or me if you need the link to look through the cards. Our e-mail address’ are our first names with @ebsphotography.com on the end. (I can’t post my e-mail here because the result is too much spam from little spiders searching the internet) Here are some samples of cards for this season. Happy Holidays- a bit early!

Ho, ho, ho!!!!

Last Friday one of my “baby planner” babies turned one! We celebrated her birthday with her very own “smash cake”. She was really not very sure about it. The picture below was about the closest she wanted to get to the darling cake!

Mommy tried to help her out by pushing her little hand into the cake. We thought she might gain more interest after a taste of the cake…. but no. Miss A. is not really into the sweet stuff yet.

The following day my family and I were honored to be invited to Miss A.’s 1st birthday party. There were tons of kids, great BBQ, and a beautiful cake. We all sang “Happy Birthday” to Miss A. and then her parents let her dive into her cake (our session had been her practice). Not too surprisingly, Miss A. again did more looking at the cake then eating the cake. There is always next year. :)

Can anyone guess where Miss. A.’s daddy went to college?
Yep, she is already a Georgia girl!

I blame real estate and my friend Sharon for my slight addiction to Starbucks. When Sharon and I were getting our real-estate licenses (yes, I know that is so random) four years ago, we had to find a way to stay awake for class. The classes would be from 6 until 10 at night and without some caffeine, we could hardly make it through all the exciting information! Sadly, today Starbucks has released its official closing list of stores. two of the three Starbucks closest to my house are closing. I know that this is a sign of the times with so many people and business’ feeling the pinch of the economy. However, we all need our caffeine boost. I plan tomorrow morning to help the economy and Starbucks by starting my day with their coffee!

Thanks to all of you who have faithfully prayed for the Barnett family for the past two days. I am happy to report that they are doing as well as they can. Baby Mac was a beautiful baby whose time on earth was to short. I am honored that I was able to meet Mac and be a part of his life. Today Mac is a sweet angel up in heaven peeking down on all of us and wishing our tears away. Please hug your babies a little tighter tonight and let Mac’s story be a reminder to us all that life is short and we should be cherishing each moment we have.

You so perfectly captured all of the emotions we were feeling and the beauty of the day. The only picture we wished we would have gotten was one with you and Mac together. Also, thank you for posting about us on your blog, as we have felt the many prayers and read the many well wishes from strangers who found out about us here, and have been lifted by all of those prayers. We are glad to have you as a part of our life, and feel so blessed to have shared Mac's life with you. Much love, Claire, Jeff, Lydie and Baby Mac Jul 25th, 2008, 10:07PM

My very sweet dear clients, the Barnett Family, booked a session with me seven months ago to photograph their second child. As the months went by, Claire contacted me to let me know that the news she was getting from doctors was not good. As of about 10 weeks ago, they discovered that baby Mac would not have long to live and would probably not be born alive. However, as of tonight, his little heart is still beating and his mommy is at Northside Hospital, 36 weeks along, waiting to be induced. The prognosis is that baby Mac will probably not survive long after he is born. I am so honored that they have asked me to be there when Mac arrives to capture his time here with them. I pray it might be days or weeks but I fully realize that it is all in God’s hands. Please pray for this family. Pray for peace, pray that they might enjoy their short time with their son and that it not be overshadowed by sorrow or grief, pray that the doctors show compassion and love, pray that big sister Lydie feels comfort while her mom and dad are away, pray that I remain strong while I am with the family, and most of all pray for baby Mac that he might live and die without pain. If you want to follow along over the next few days then please feel free to go to their blog. Leave them a note and let them know you are praying for them.
