The weather here in Atlanta is just so strange. One day we are in the 80s and it is just HOT and then, the next day, it is in the 60s, windy and just plain cold. This session was this past Monday morning and I have to say- it was downright cold. Luckily, this is the 5th session I have had with this family so we are all very comfortable with one another. I knew that it would be tricky with the wind and chill in the air. However, the boys were such troopers. They were certainly cold but they kept the complaining to a minimum and we all worked really fast.
Little brother H. is the most darling little guy. I had not seen him since he was a newborn peanut and he has grown so much. He is a really smiley baby with a good sense of humor. Big boy J. is precious with his brother and was really into chasing the ducks and making so very silly faces.
We had a great time but I have to admit that I am ready for some more constant weather. Tomorrow in Atlanta it is going to be VERY rainy and yucky. Off to call my morning client about our outdoor session….

the weather in atlanta

From the moment I walked in the house, this little girl was ready to hold my hard, show me her room (and also her special teddy), and just be my friend. It is always special to me when my little clients easily warm up to me and we can quickly connect.
Yesterday I met with a client who has been a client for several years now. She said something to me that was so meaningful and heartfelt and I wanted to share it with you. She had recently seen a gallery of images I had taken of one of her friend’s children. She said she was very moved by the images and was trying to decide what it was about my work that made her feel that way. She told me yesterday that she figured it out and it is "that you see children through your camera the way I imagine God sees these children." Wow- what a compliment and I am so deeply moved by those words. Thank you M. for making my week so much brighter!
Now, here is a big share of images of Miss H. She really is "all that"!!!!!
