J. is going to be a big sister…. Do you think she is a little excited about it? J. has enough personality to fill a room. While I was at her house for an hour she changed outfits several times, fed us lots of pretend cake and coffee, and played with her dolls. She is certainly ready for a little bother BUT will he be ready for her?

Meet little L. and her family. This mom and dad obviously ADORE their little girl. I love watching the three of them interact with one another. They just fit- does that make sense? Probably not, but it just seems that the three of them are meant to be together!

Ahh- another sweet baby… I love all these itty bitty ones I have photographed lately. I met this mommy at Due Maternity the day I did the mini-sessions. She was glowing and lovely and I immediately liked her calm, loving personality. I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph baby Q.

Can’t you just tell that this sweetie has a great smiley personality? Well, she does, she just did not this morning… Miss C. was very serious for our session. Mom, Dad and I tried everything to make her smile but she was  saving all those smiles for after I left. Poor baby… at least she is beautiful and darling with or without a smile.

As a mother myself, I  love this story.
This mom asked me to photograph her son for her.  She explained that A. is about to start his professional career in NYC and he would be leaving soon. Once in NYC he will have to shave and dress professionally and he will certainly look much different. She wants a portrait to be able to remember him just as he is now.
Really, isn’t that what we all want? We want to freeze time so that we can remember a certain moment or time in our life. I think about my oldest child and how much he has changed in his three short years of life. I  love to look back at my pictures of him. I can actually physically feel certain emotions when I look at a particular images. I love to know that I will still feel that way when my son is 22- just like A.
