I was so touched when this mom called to schedule a session for her and her daughter. How precious the relationship is between mother and child and how great that this mom wants to capture it!

K. is ten years old and wants to be an actress when she "grows up". I could tell that she has a very artsy knack and she was quick to recommend poses and ideas. She has an interest in photography and I told her in several years I will be expecting her call for an internship. It is obvious that she is a very driven young lady and she will go far in whatever she decides to pursue.

I also want to add that this mother and daughter are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. What a blessing to share such a strong bond!

at Due Maternity in Vinings- I will be photographing seven pregnant ladies and their bellies!

I told my friend Cristina that I was going to practice today because I was nervous. She laughed and said she was so surprised that I would be nervous. She did not think I ever got nervous about photography. I think it is just because this is so different for me to have only 20 minutes with a client. I am used to taking my time but this will be "on demand" fast shooting. It is going to be a blast! So,  today I spent a few hours preparing. I had my intern stuff a pillow under her shirt and be my model. She was fabulous! Seriously, she knew just how to work the camera and hold that pretend belly.

I *think* there are three time slots still left if anyone wants one. The price is $50 and it includes three 5×7 prints. Really it is quite the deal and will be fun, fun, fun! You should be about 7-9 months pregnant for the Saturday sessions.

What a treat it was to spend the morning with this family. Dad made me the BESTEST (yes, I know that is not a word!) cup of cappuccino and we all sat around and talked while waiting for baby S. to wake up. It was a great start to a very early morning.
Baby S. is three months old and obviously the apple of his parents eye. I was thrilled to meet his very pretty big sister who has 10 years on him. She was so sweet to assist me in so many ways.  She helped me hold the reflector, found toys to wave around for Baby S. and called his name and made funny sounds to try to get him to look. Three months is a tough age to capture but I think, with big sisters help, we did good!!!!

Yes, I do!!! Seriously, my old clients are like coming home for me.  Most of my clients become friends of mine and then each repeating session is just more fun. This little angel (and her new sister) have been clients of mine for several years. Look how cute she was then….

I am sorry to all my blog readers that I have neglected you over the past few days. I needed time to catch my breath and take a bit of a break. I am sure there are a couple of moms out there haunting the site waiting for a sneak peek…. I promise by tomorrow afternoon I will have some images up for you to see. Until then, enjoy my little fella.
Shipley has just turned 16 months and he has never had a hair cut. We were not neglecting him but we just loved the curls on his head. No one else in our house has those curls and it made Shipley all that much more special. However, lately we have had several people refer to him as a "her". Well, I don’t really care so much but I began thinking that Shipley might care at some point.

After church today we set aside time to take Shipley for his first hair cut. Honestly, I hated to have those golden locks cut but *sigh* it had to be done. So, here is the before and after picture of Shipley. What do you think? He looks much more like a boy now (but less like a baby!!!).
