Meet this sweet little angel…. baby P. She was not feeling well for our session but she put on her game face and went for it. She was smiley, serious, loving, and adorable… all you would expect from a baby this age. I love this age because they can’t crawl yet so you put them down and they stay still. Don’t tell mom and dad but this stage does not last long……

Our Friends :: Old Blog

We (as in my husband and I) love this family. Baby C.’s daddy has been a very dear friend to Jeff for many years. This daddy actually was a groomsman in our wedding and then Jeff served as a groomsman in their wedding. Jeff and I were so excited to celebrate the birth of J. and C.’s  precious first child. He is absolutely perfect and it was my privilege to photograph him with his parents.

A trip down memory lane…. This sweet family had one little 18 month old. She was darling, sort of shy, and full of sparkle. Watching them took me back to the early days of my family. Back to the days where it was just my husband, me, and little Slaton. I look back on those days with such great fondness. I worked part time back then and got to spend lots of time with my baby. My days right now are so chaotic! Working full time, raising three wee ones, trying to be the best wife, and committing to all this while living the best Christian life I can. Some days are tiring and overwhelming. Juggling all the balls is hard and occasionally I drop one or two. I remember God’s grace and I try to extend grace to myself when I sometimes fail.  I think back to the simplicity of one child, a part time job working for someone else, and it certainly did not seem so easy back then. One day I will look back on this part of my life with fondness and remember the chaos that is part of my wonderful. fabulous, crazy life!
Hugs to this family as they enjoy their days with just one child.

Family of three

Boys are best in sets of three. This is the third family I have photographed recently with three boys and no girls. Amazingly, these families have been some of the best behaved children I have met. These boys were respectful and full of life. I loved their amazing personalities and I could not get over how much they all look alike!

This family became clients of mine a couple of years ago when big brother L. was about 9 months old. Since then little brother A. has been welcomed to the family and he is now 9 months old. This family moved to Kentucky soon after our session. However, on their way to the beach, they made a stop in Atlanta for some portraits. Big brother L. started off really shy (this is a shy week for my little clients) but after we got to the water, mud and rocks he forgot all about me and the camera. Thanks L. family for stopping in Atlanta so I could photograph your handsome boys!

Straight from Kentucky

These wee little girls are just precious. Big sister A.N. was excited to have her picture taken. However, little sister C. was unsure of me and my camera but by the end of our time together she was having a ball. Nothing better than a water fountain that spews water everywhere to bring a little fun to the morning. Little C. just loved it and once she found that water fountain- she would not leave its side.

I have to say that these girls and their mom are just beautiful. I am excited that little C. will be in Shipley and Eliza’s class at school next year. I am already thinking twenty years down the road- wouldn’t Shipley and little C. be so sweet together? OR Maybe Eliza and little C. will become best friends? I do really adore this family…. and I look forward to all that the years ahead will bring as my family gets to know their family better.
