This sweet baby felt no rush to arrive. She hung out for a couple of weeks past her due date. Luckily, her mommy is so calm and laid back that she was never the least bit flustered. She knew that baby K. would arrive in her own time.

Baby K. is a stunning little girl. She was so patient with me as I moved her around and made sure to photograph every bit of her.

I will seriously do almost anything for "THE SHOT". This session included some major wading in the water to get the angles I wanted for the images I wanted. However, if ever a family is worth it, this one is. Meet the K. family. This very sweet husband bought his wife a gift certificate for Mothers Day and scheduled the session date with me. So, I already thought, "Mr. K is a cool guy." Then, Mrs. K. calls me and I tell her about this park and the water and the walk we will have to take to get to the water. She says, "Not a problem.. we have three boys." Seriously, she is too cool. The best part of all- these three boys. I am talking some fabulous parenting going on by this mommy and daddy. These boys were adventurous, fun, well-behaved and gracious. They all had awesome spirits and were a pleasure to spend an afternoon with. I look forward to getting to know this mom better and learning from all her wisdom on how to raise boys!

Little Man :: Old Blog

How cute is this little fella? He is, believe it or not, only one year old! I loved all his hair and his teeth. It really made him seem like a little boy instead of just the baby that he is. He was so much fun to work with!

I told you :: Old Blog

I mentioned a week ago that this week was really nutty for me. I overdid it with sessions and then worked each night until 1 or2. By this weekend I was beat…. I know all of you told me not to worry about your gallery but I am too driven to get behind on any of my work.  So, I will have most of your galleries out to you by tomorrow and some by Wednesday. The bummer is that I just do not have time to write about how each family this week touched me in a special way. So, please forgive these quick posts this week and know that each of you mean a great deal to me! Now enjoy your images!!!!

Introducing the W. family…. When Lesley (my intern) and I walked into their house we were met with train track that wrapped around the whole family room. "Ahh- a young boy must be close by" I thought. Sure enough J. was right around the corner holding one of his trains. I asked him if he had every train (from the Thomas set) and he said, "no, I am still missing one." Luckily though, he had the rest. :) Lesley and I went outside with young J. to do some portraits of him by himself and he was such a sweet child. Just one of those children who you can’t help falling in love with.

Next, we met J.’s big sister. When you look at these pictures you might guess she is 12 or 13- but NO.. She is EIGHT years old. Amazing since she not only looks older but she also acts older. I think she might have a future in modeling. She was so comfortable with the camera and such a pleasure to photograph (not to mention, she is beautiful!!).

Just steal my heart!

Mom did try to tell me that little K. is really a tom-boy but I have a hard time believing it. K. was very sure of what she wanted to wear and the accessories she wanted to put with it. The shoes were a hoot and the jewelry really madethe outfit. Seriously girls- we could all take some hints from Miss K. when it comes to the "right" accessories.
Brother J. was a lot less worried about what he was wearing and was much more concerned with how long we were going to make him sit still and look at the camera. However, he was pretty excited that there was a trip to the toy store after the photo session was over. He already had his eye on something Power Ranger that he really wanted. Who ever said bribing is a bad thing (said in my most innocent mommy voice :) )?
