What an amazing family this is…..

TRIPLETS…newborns… and a two year old…..WOWZERS!!!

I seriously expected chaos when I arrived at their home last week but instead it was peaceful.  Dad was rocking baby C. while baby S. and E. were soundly sleeping. Big sister G. was quietly playing in the other room and life seemed cozy and wonderful. I was impressed. I am sure they will have their fair share of chaos with four little ones under foot. However, God never gives one more than they can handle. This family will handle the chaos just fine!

This Mommy just completed 6 weeks of bed rest. 6 LONG weeks of rest- I cannot imagine! As most of you know, I spent two weeks in the hospital on bed rest waiting for baby #2. It seemed like an eternity but I fully realized then and now that I had it easy compared to lots of other moms-to-be.

When H. called to book her session, she told me, "my husband says I should do this." Now, ladies, is that awesome or what? It was refreshing to me to photograph a couple who are so in love and so into this baby-to-be! 

Tonight I must be brief- it is almost midnight and I have a full day tomorrow-

However, I did not want to keep this precious babies parents waiting any longer…

Some of you know this but for those who don’t- here is a secret….

In my past life I was a teacher. Yes, I actually have a masters degree in elementary education. I taught pre-school, Kindergarten, and 1st grade for 13 years! Working with children is a definite God gift of mine!

Meet one of my students from SEVEN years ago! She was in my Kindergarten class and when I looped to First Grade she was again in my class. I fell in love with her and her parents back then and we are all still friends today. So, please enjoy beautiful, sweet  TEENAGER T.

Another baby will be arriving in Smyrna soon- this one will be a little boy. Happy to say he will be arriving at this lovely families home and not my home. We have asked the stork not to visit us again anytime soon. Instead I get to enjoy all these itty bitty babies being born in 2007.

Meet the P. family and soon-to-be big sister E. It was a very dark and rainy Thursday when I arrived at their house. Mr. P. and I pulled out all the tricks- moving furniture, opening blinds, and praying for the rain to stop. The hardest thing about being a natural light photographer is that you actually have to have LIGHT! Not just any light- but actual natural light… Luckily this session was an indoor session anyway- so once we found enough light- off we went.

This is a beautiful family and I am really looking forward to spending the next year getting to photograph baby boy P. when he arrives soon!

I love my work! I am so lucky to photograph some of the most beautiful children who happen to have some of the greatest parents. This is baby S. When I arrived his Mommy was cooking some of the best smelling spaghetti! I told her several times that I might be staying for dinner that night.

Baby S. was ready for me to photograph him. He had a good bath that morning and was in his crib taking a nap in nothing but his birthday suit. Mommy was really thinking ahead.
