Has anyone out there been missing me.   I hope so.. no images and no stories for a whole week. I hope you noticed I was gone.
I have been at WPPI learning with the worlds most famous and fabulous photographers. What a treat it was to take classes on marketing, lighting, posing, and PS from the people who know it best. Of course, all that is great but my favorite part is the HUGE trade show that features tons and tons of companies photographers use. I had a blast seeing some up and coming products and learning a little bit more about albums. Look out for some new products to be offered at ebs photography over the next few months. I am already excited about next years week in Vegas at WPPI.

Baby C…..
THREE days old…
Baby C. was born just before I was to leave for Las Vegas. His parents and I decided to get the session on Friday morning before I boarded the plane that afternoon. I am so happy we did. Baby C. was so new that he slept almost the whole time! You will recognize this sweet mommy from some maternity images posted on the Blog about a month ago.  This family has quickly become a favorite of mine.

One question clients  frequently ask is, "How long is the session? Do you charge by the hour?" The easy answer is, "No I do not charge by the hour and I do not set the length of the session." Strange then- how does one know how long the session will last? Well, each child is different and therefore each session is unique. I can tell you typically a newborn session lasts the longest and a one year old session tends to be one of the shortest. I will stay and photograph until I feel I have enough brilliant images or until the child tells me he/she has had enough of me. Today, R. let me know he was done with me…..

He, he… R. is really the sweetest baby. Well, he was a baby when we started his baby plan a year ago. He was born less then two weeks after my baby S.  Needless to say,  we did his newborn session with my newborn right there too!

After the session today, R.’s mom and I sat and talked a little bit about the craziness of having small children. I was saying that it is so hard for me to find time alone with each child individually. So, after talking to R.’s mommy I decided to pick up my big boy from school and take him to lunch- just us! After all- time is passing much too fast!

This morning I had a maternity session… I pack my stuff, travel to the client’s home, and when the door opens I see this precious little boy. He is full of spunk, precious to look at, and his verbal skills were exceptional (that is the teacher in me talking). Seriously, I wanted to photograph him for an hour!  I hope that the parents will sometime book me to photograph just him- because I would love to spend an hour with my camera and him! Anyway, I loved this family and very soon there will be one more of them to love. A. is expecting a little boy any day now….. Ahh…..another newborn for me to snuggle with!

This adorable one-year-old is the fastest walker I know. Her mom and I spent quite a bit of time chasing her and trying to get her to come towards us and not away from us. Little C. had some of the biggest smiles for me and I loved getting to meet her sweet mommy.

I want to take time to say Happy Birthday to my baby. Baby S. is the youngest of my three and he will always be the baby of the family! So, happy 1st birthday to my little fella who I love so much!

It is so much fun growing up in Atlanta and getting to see others who I  went to school with.  Daddy D. went to The Lovett School with me and he is married to the cutest gal! I enjoyed  getting to know  his precious family!
